Simmonston Ruins

The town that never was.

In 1872 the town was surveyed on one of a number of proposed railway routes. In anticipation of a favourable rail decision, two buildings were commenced but these were not completed when the decision was made to route the railway on the other side of the ranges.

Not a lot in the way of ruins, but a nice drive.
