Flynn's Grave

The Reverend John Flynn (1880 - 1951), a Presbyterian Minister, was sent to Central Australia in 1912 by the church to investigate the needs of people in the bush. In 1928 he established the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

The large stone originally used to mark his grave had been taken from the Devils Marbles, a sacred site. In 1999, the original stone was returned, and a new stone, from a different site, was found to replace it.
