Just past the end of the sealed road, 165 km west of Alice Springs, Redbank Gorge car park is reached via a rough 4wd track, which passes two camping grounds. It's then a 20-minute walk, with some climbing over rocks, to the gorge, which is gorgeous, with narrow, high walls of polished quartzite providing fantastic, photogenic reflections in the deep cold waterhole. There are longer walks in the area, including to the top of Mount Sonder.
